Bigger Cost and More Money
When scouring the market for air guns, it is imperative to examine all of the different parameters of the weapon. With this in mind, we decided to look for something a little different. The Hammerli 850 is capable of providing a unique experience, which peaked out interest. With this particular gun, you don’t have to worry about pumping the barrel or anything in between shots. This helps to provide a much more authentic feel to the weapon. Of course, this isn’t all that is likable about the gun. Below, you’ll learn what we like about this specific gun.
The Basics of the Air Rifle
When you take a quick glance at this weapon, you’ll see that the design is sleek and very well thought out. In fact, the gun looks tremendously realistic. While you’ll need to take extra precaution, when using the weapon, we enjoy having a rifle, which looks like to be the real deal. This can help scare off intruders. A one-year warranty is also included. Although this is slightly limited, it does add justification for the expensive price tag. All in all, the air rifle is durably made and will be able to withstand plenty of bumps.
Rapid Fire CO2
Since this air rifle is equipped with a CO2 cartridge, you do not have to pump the barrel in between shots. Instead, it is possible to use this weapon to five 8 shots in rapid succession. Each shot will fire with tremendous velocity and is capable of traveling at 760 feet per second. The rotary magazine is capable of holding 8 shots and additional magazines can be purchased. We’ve done this and it makes the shooting experience much more pleasurable. Anyone, who is familiar with regular guns, will be able to pick up the Hammerli 850 and use it easily, without getting used to priming the weapon.
.22 Caliber Experience
If you’re interested in hunting with an air rifle, the Hammerli 850 AirMagnum is more than suitable for your needs. We’ve had this gun for approximately 4 months and have been able to strike down a wide array of pests. The .22 caliber pellets and the weapon’s power make for a deadly combination. The C02 cartridge is actually sufficient for longevity. Sometimes, we’ve been able to fire the gun 200 times, before we were forced to swap out the cartridge. The 88g CO2 cylinder might be rare, but it offers much more convenience, longer use and a much less costly experience. It is vital to remember that this weapon is sold solo and doesn’t come with this cartridge. This is likely the biggest downfall of the package. At the same time, scopes can be purchased separately and equipped for better accuracy.
Overall, the price is a little more costly, but we feel that this air rifle makes up for it with power, accuracy and convenience. This is likely one of the most powerful, fun and reliable air guns we’ve ever used. Of course, additional CO2 cartridges can become very expensive, if you use the gun more frequently. Otherwise, we love the Hammerli 850 AirMagnum Air Rifle.
